THE ILLUSION OF TRUTH

Dear Empyreans,
It’s been a minute or maybe even a few months, but I trust you haven’t stopped growing, because I haven’t either.
Remember, the goal is to meet at the zenith.
Lately, I’ve been exploring the concept of truth, and I’ve discovered that what we often consider to be the truth is not always the truth. In fact, I think the truth is largely based on our perception, which raises an important question:
What’s your perspective on an event?
Your perspective about something, how you see it, how you interpret it; that might be your truth.
It’s like the classic example of a six and a nine. Imagine two people standing opposite each other, one sees a six, the other sees a nine. They both believe they’re right. That’s their truth.
They might argue about it, but the actual number doesn’t change. What changes is their perspective (their position). And I believe that deeply influences what each person calls the truth.
We need to understand that our truth is not always another person’s truth, and we shouldn’t impose our beliefs on others.
What is true for me today may not be true for someone else today or tomorrow. It depends on so many variables before someone can even begin to accept another person’s truth.
To convince someone of a truth means their mind has to accept it. But sometimes, people don’t even recognize a lie. For example, I might lie to myself and twist it in my mind until I believe it’s true because that’s how the mind works. You know it's a lie, yet you reshape it into a version of truth that fits your narrative.
That means reality becomes distorted, and nothing appears as it truly is.
When you understand that reality is often distorted, only then can you find peace.
To the Zenith!
Best regards,
Abdulmalik Adebayo O.
